OUR BRIEF HISTORY
It was in that spirit when he took an initiative to conduct an extensive research about the courier services industry with the aim of understanding how can one create a customer centric tailor made courier services. As a result the research found many gaps/issues in the industry; among these issues was absence of a customer centric courier services. Identified gaps were turned into business opportunities. Business opportunities were subsequently converted into a vibrant courier services business.
As a young entrepreneur starting this company was a daunting challenge. It required a strong dedicated and hardworking person driven by a focused entrepreneurial mind-set. The business started with just two vehicles (one for collection and one for deliveries) and a handful of customers mostly family and friends.
Today Up and Down Freight is one of the recognised courier services provider in town with more customers. Growing from strength to strength every day the company is expanding to more areas across South Africa. Since the establishment of our company, we have always ensured that great customer service is at the heart of our business. We strive to deliver good communication with client, professional service in the collection and delivery of parcels in time.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the company is to help consumers meet their needs on the transportation industry specifically on our local town Piet Retief because we are the only courier based in town, the rest are passing. We do understand that every business is running with an aim of making profit, but during the process of making profits, our customers should be satisfied with the service we provide. Our major goal of every time is to put a smile on our clients’ face. We want to grow the company to be one of the biggest in the country.
Transportation was a start of our operation, as a company we want to take few steps feather and do the supply and distribution of certain goods and services.
